After graduating from UCSD with a degree in Psychology in 2001, Holly Beck officially turned pro and began dragging a full boardbag to all corners of the world. Five years of experiencing the grind of the WQS and collecting a novel's worth of adventures and memories on photo trips to far-flung places around the world, have given her a thick passport and an addiction to travel.

Now, leaving the worry and stress of competitive surfing behind, Holly has plans to cross other dream destinations off her list while striving to make each trip as meaningful as possible, by connecting with the local culture, raising awareness of environmental and social issues, and recording her adventures in writing and photos to inspire others to go out and explore the world while making a difference. She's joined forces with Save The Waves to help make that difference, and protect those special places she feels so fortunate to be able to visit.
