With over 400 people in attendance, Save The Waves Coalition and Proplaya presented Fashion for the Ocean (Moda por el Mar) at the Ex-Oz disco in Santiago, a fundraiser party to benefit the two organizations' non-profit activities in Chile.
A fashion show presented by Elite Models and Chilean supermodel Carolina de Moras featured Quiksilver's Roxy girls line of summer clothes and bikinis. The night also featured the offical Chilean premiere of Save the Waves' short documentary, Pulp Poo and Perfection, along with Quiksilver's latest surf film, Young Guns 3.
During the event Honda Motors presented its newest global-warming-fighter, the Honda Civic Hybrid, to this adoring crowd of surfer-environmentalists. The event raised $3,500 dollars for Save the Waves and Proplaya's programs for environmental activism and education in Chile, as well as much awareness for the coastal cause in Chile. Many thanks to all of the sponsors who made this event a great success: Honda Motors Chile, Quiksilver, Roxy, Claro, Durex, Red Bull, and Elite Models.
