Save The Waves showcased its World Surfing Reserves program at the Hurley Pro surf contest at Trestles, September 13 through 19. With our public exposition booth at the contest site, part of Hurley's "village" at iconic Lower Trestles in San Onofre State Park, we met with the public, cultivated networks with other local community groups, presented World Surfing Reserves to California's surf world and enjoyed the weather. Leading surfers and spectators from all over the world did not miss this unique opportunity to meet the Save The Waves team and learn more about World Surfing Reserves.
Save The Waves Surf Ambassadors were also present at the booth all week long to meet the public and promote World Surfing Reserves.
If you couldn't visit Save The Waves at the Hurley Pro, be sure to tune in to the Hurley Pro website where we aired a new public service announcement about World Surfing Reserves and were interviewed by Hurley media personalities. Or see the videos now at: www.youtube.com/user/savethewaves
