Australians fight proposed breakwater in Victoria with lawsuit against minister who ignored recommendations.

Our friends at the organization Save Bastion Point recently announced that they have filed a lawsuit against Minister for Planning, Justin Madden, regarding his decision to ignore the public panel's recommendations concerning the construction of a proposed breakwater at Bastion Point in Victoria, Australia.
The grounds under which Minister Madden will be challenged are that he did not assess the environmental effects of the proposal, as he is required under the Environment Effects Act, and that the public opinion has been denied natural justice.
