Save The Waves Film Festival will travel to 3 American cities in November 2013: starting in Brooklyn, New York; then moving to Los Angeles, California; and ending back in its original hometown of San Francisco.
Save The Waves Film Festival is a one-night specialty event featuring documentary surf films, ocean conservation campaigns, live music and art. This year 2013 is the 5th annual Save The Waves Film Festival.
Save The Waves Film Festival is not restricted by film genre; however, filmmakers are encouraged to explore unique and personal stories that link surfing and the environment, environmental activism, surf culture and the cultural and environmental values of waves and surfing. Save The Waves Film Festival seeks out film submissions that explore all aspects and angles of surfing, coastal environmentalism, and cutting-edge artistry from documentary to animation to engaging, experimental and unique works of ocean-inspired art.
