Pulp, Poo & Perfection

A New Film by Josh Berry and Angel Marin
Film Screens at Banff Mountain Festival in Chile
Saturday, September 1, 2007

A full house was treated to Chile's first screening of Save the Waves Coalition's short documentary "Pulp, Poo and Perfection" at the Banff Mountain Festival in Santiago on Saturday, September 1st. On hand for the film's advance screening in Chile was director Angel Marin and writer/producer Josh Berry. The duo plans on touring the film throughout Chile in 2007 and 2008 with the first show in Santiago in October.

The international adventure sports film tour Banff Mountain Festival showed the film in Santiago during the festival's closing night at the Universidad Catolica in downtown Santiago. A packed house of over 400 people watched the movie in the university's historic theater. The official Chile launch of "Pulp, Poo and Perfection" is slated for October.

Pulp, Poo & Perfection debuted in San Sebastian, Spain
Thursday, June 7th, 2007

"Pulp, Poo & Perfection," a new film by Josh Berry and Angel Marin, premiered at the Surfilm Festibal in San Sebastian, Spain, which ran the weekend of World Ocean Day. The Surfilm Festibal is an international film festival that brings together film makers and activists from around the world to share films that the public might not ordinarily get to see. "Pulp, Poo & Perfection" debuted on Thursday, June 7th - the opening night of the festival. The Surfilm Festibal ran through Sunday, June 10th.

"Pulp, Poo & Perfection" is a short documentary that investigates two major issues threatening surfing and water quality in Chile: Pichilemu's sewage pipeline and forestry industry pollution. Mythical waves, activists, angry fisherman, environmental problems and sharky corporate executives weave a classic South American tale of environmental action and ecological solutions. Featuring the surfing of Ramon Navarro, Shane Dorian, Conrigo Colorado and Quechua.
