Introducing: Two New Members Join Our Board of Directors

Save The Waves recently welcomed Will Coleman and Jon Roseman to our Board of Directors. Each brings plenty of mentorship, experience and insight to the organization: get to know them below. 

About Will Coleman

Will Coleman is the Founder of OnRamp Capital, an investment and advisory platform bridging venture, corporate venture, and early-stage impact solutions across the built environment, energy, mobility, and wellness. He is also an Advisor at ReGen Ventures, a climate-focused early-stage venture fund he helped found in 2020, where he backed companies working to restore planetary health across food systems, materials, agriculture, and the built environment.

Will previously served as CEO of Lucid, whose BuildingOS platform became the leading data platform for commercial building operating insights across 250 of the world’s largest organizations and over 1.5 billion square feet of commercial real estate, before its acquisition by Acuity Brands. In addition, Will helped build Mohr Davidow Ventures’ early-stage cleantech practice as a Partner and led the NVCA’s climate policy efforts while at MDV. He also served as Legislative Director of the New Fuels Alliance and advised private clients in the renewable energy and resource sector.

Will has also served on the Governing Council of The Wilderness Society, the Advisory Board of the California Energy Commission, and the Venture Advisory Board of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He holds an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University and both an MS in Energy & Resources and an MBA from UC Berkeley, where he co-founded the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative. Will is an avid surfer and skier, and brings to the Save The Waves board a career-long commitment to leveraging business and innovation as tools for planetary restoration.

About Jon Roseman

Jon Roseman is Managing Director of Tavarua and Namotu Island Resorts in Fiji, two of the surf world’s most iconic island destinations, where he has led operations for over 33 years. Based in the Fiji Islands, Jon has been a firsthand witness to the accelerating effects of climate change on Pacific coastal ecosystems — including shoreline erosion, mangrove depletion, reef degradation, and the flooding of coastal villages that have no prior recorded history of such events. These experiences have shaped a deep personal and professional commitment to ocean and coastal conservation.

Jon holds an MBA with a Sustainability focus from the Yale School of Management, where he was a member of the Yale Chief Executive Leadership Institute and a Fellow of the Yale William F. Buckley, Jr. Program. He is currently a candidate for a Master of Public Administration at Cornell University’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy. He also holds a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard University and has completed executive education at ESMT Berlin and EGADE Business School. Jon is a lifelong surfer, bringing to the Save The Waves board a perspective that is at once deeply personal, scientifically informed, and grounded in decades of on-the-ground experience at the intersection of surfing culture, sustainable tourism, and Pacific island stewardship.
